July 1, 2026 – KYOCERA Medical Technologies, Inc. is proud to announce the launch of the Tesera-K XL Lateral Interbody Fusion System. This product is the latest innovation in KMTI’s expanding portfolio of interbody fusion solutions. Designed to address the evolving needs of spine surgeons, Tesera®-K XL combines cutting-edge material science and manufacturing processes with versatile instrumentation to support improved surgical access and patient outcomes.
The Tesera®-K XL System features Kyocera’s latest Resilience® low-modulus technology, an advanced 3D-printed titanium design engineered with a dual-wall lattice structure. With approximately 68% porosity, the cage is specifically optimized to promote load sharing and enhance fusion. The addition of DUO-Texture® micro and macro texturing further supports bone on-growth and in-growth, reinforcing the system’s long-term performance and durability.
Designed with surgical flexibility in mind, Tesera®-K XL incorporates straight and angled instrumentation to facilitate access to the lateral spine, particularly in patients with high iliac crest anatomy or when utilizing an anterior-to-psoas approach. The innovative Omni-Angle inserter enables surgeons to use a single instrument across multiple approaches and patient positions, streamlining procedural efficiency.
With a comprehensive range of footprints and lordotic options, Tesera®-K XL empowers surgeons with the versatility needed to address complex anatomies and surgical preferences.
